“Ms. Rena Day has been like family from the moment I met her.  She held my hand through one of the most difficult times in my life while encouraging me every step of the way.  She is a motivator, care taker, mentor, sister and friend.  Knowing Rena is a privilege and an honor.  She is an asset to everyone she comes in contact with.  If you ever get the chance to meet her you will find her to be a ray of light in every situation.   There are no words that can express how instrumental she has been in my life and for that I am forever grateful. “

As you know, IAMRENADAY FOUNDATION formally known as Salute the Ribbon Incorporated have been providing much-needed breast health services to under-insured, uninsured and immigrant women regardless of their immigration status over the past few years. Our new name reflects our expanding work to help women and men in other areas of their lives aside from just health conditions. This change reflects a more holistic approach enabling us to assist the individuals we serve in achieving a greater overall outcome. Salute the Ribbon was founded in 2014 by Rena Day after a decade of struggling to find programs with a seamless process in place for uninsured and underinsured women who desperately needed medical services in a timely manner. But when the organization began working with women and realized the need was greater than medical demands alone, the program had to dramatically change the type of services rendered and expand the variety of services available. As a result, renaming was necessary and strategic.
